6th International Conference on Plasma Medicine

On behalf of the International Society for Plasma Medicine (ISPM), we are delighted to welcome you to the full-week 6^th International Conference on Plasma Medicine (ICPM-6), which will be held in Bratislava, Slovakia, from September 4 to 9, 2016.

Plasma Medicine is a new, rapidly growing field that faces many technological challenges and brings to the forefront fundamental questions on the mechanisms of interaction between living organisms and gas plasmas. The conference creates a multidisciplinary forum bringing together professionals from the fields of plasma physics, medicine, biology, biochemistry, pharmacy, agriculture, and food science and industry, in order to develop a common language, to better define key challenges and open questions, to further development of international collaborations, and to move toward effective solutions.

IICR Workshop 2016

4th Cavitation Workshop, May 30 –June 1, 2016, Chania, Crete

The 4th Cavitation Workshop, organized by the International institute for Cavitation Research (IICR) follows the succession of our previous events held in London in 2012, 2013 and 2014 and dedicated to various aspects of cavitation. It is organized by Prof M. Gavaises (City University London) and hosted this year by Maich Conference Centre, in the City of Chania, Crete. During the two days of the workshop, presentations will be given by invited experts in the field in a single-session.

International Conference on Electron Beam Technologies

12 International Conference on Electron Beam Technologies, June 13 - 18, 2016, Grand Hotel Varna, Resort “St. St. Konstantin and Elena”, Varna, Bulgaria

The conference is one of a series which started in 1985 in Varna, which has remained the venue for all subsequent meetings. During the period from the First International Conference on EBT there have been great advances in the field. The success of the nine events of this series clearly demonstrated that the scientist and engineers, working in the academia and research and development laboratories of industry continue to make contributions to technology development of community life, based on knowledge. The content of this Proceeding shows a great scope of activities and a big potential of developed technologies to increase efficiency of industrial fabrication, to create new products and to improve the life standards.

Electron beam technologies celebrate now 50 years from the first machines and industrial technologies based of application of intense electron beams in vacuum. In the Proceedings of Conferences on EBT in Varna, organized during the last 30 years is traced the history of ideas, the basic objectives in our field. Personal success of two-three generations researchers could be also seen. As an example of the flexibility of the subject of interest of participation organizations now I could point out, that nanotechnology investigations, different than electron lithography (that topic has other conferences that are held in the same time with ours), and a group of sophisticated modern surface treatment methods could focus the reader attention, together with the remarkable conventional topics as beam physics and generation, electron beam welding, electron beam melting and refining, electron beam evaporation and deposition of functional coatings and electron accelerator applications for modification of various materials.

International Conference “Mechanisms of Catalytic Reactions”

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the X International Conference “Mechanisms of Catalytic Reactions” (MCR-X) which is to be held in Svetlogorsk (Kaliningrad region, Russia) on 2-6 October, 2016. The Conference is organized under the auspices of the European Federation of Catalysis Societies and the National Catalytic Society of Russia.

The X Conference “Mechanisms of Catalytic Reactions” follows an established tradition, with previous meetings held in Moscow (1974, 1979, 1986, 1990, 2002), Saint-Petersburg (2006, 2012), and Novosibirsk (1982, 2009). Since 2009, conferences of this series have a status of regular international events, held every three years and attract about 250 scientists from up to 30 countries. Traditionally, the International Conferences on the Mechanisms of Catalytic Reactions focus on advances in understanding the mechanisms of chemical reactions occurring in the presence of catalysts, ranging from homogeneous molecular catalysts (inorganic, organic, metal complex based) to heterogeneous catalysts.
